DescriptionStudents focus on health and wellbeing for individuals and communities. Positive psychology is explored to develop a theoretical and practical understanding of wellbeing and healthy living. Students focus on social, emotional, physical and cognitive dimensions of wellbeing. There are opportunities for students to discover their character strengths, pursue interests, experience positive practices, and improve their lifestyle.

• Unpacking Salisbury High School Wellbeing data (MDI survey results)
• Resilience
• Optimism
• Contemporary Mental Health Issues: Coping Strategies
AssessmentStudents complete the following assessment pieces:
• Issues Analysis - Explore the impact of depression or anxiety on schooling (20%)
• Reflection – Wellbeing data focus groups (20%)
• Group Activity - Wellbeing day preparation & involvement (30%)
• Exam - Overview of class topics, open book (30%)
